What You Will Do | Responsibilities Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Inventory Manager will assist the Assistant Controller in the direction of the accounting functions of the organization. The Inventory Manager will manage day-to-day Inventory transactions. This position will participate in the preparation, support, and completion of the financial statements and other financial reports for the organization.

This position is responsible for maintaining the product cost in NetSuite, ensuring the inventory transactions and movements are accounted for timely and accurately, calculating inventory provisions if needed, and ensuring inventory is valued correctly, etc. Leads inventory and cost accounting related matters and serves as the primary point of contact Performs the monthly Cost/Inventory close process including but not limited to preparing/reconciling, if any. Partners with the manufacturing department, contract manufacturers, and the third-party logistics company to investigate variances, provide feedback, and resolve errors Reviews costing and inventory balances for inaccuracies Assists in the preparation of the annual budgeting and strategic planning process as needed Reviews and/or prepares detailed account analysis by product and/or location to reconcile cost and other accounts by product to the general ledger, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements Coordinates annual and periodic updates to product cost Manages and coordinates the annual physical inventory as well as periodic cycle counts, including reconciling, creating, and distributing reporting of shrink results from these counts Reviews physical inventory and cycle count results and researches any unusual trends to identify potential operational or systematic issues Assists in developing and maintaining accounting and financial processes and policies, as well as driving process improvements Coordinates external and internal audit activity Consistently analyzes inventory and costing financial data of various Reata entities and presents financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicates monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Leads the accounting process of ensuring Inventory transfers between Reata entities. Also, coordinates with the Tax team on transfer pricing matters Leads the process of downloading the various reports from 3PL website and accounting it into Net Suite accordingly Assists in providing effective financial controls for the organization in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and coordination with SOX consultants/internal audit Assists with developing accounting processes and policies related to product commercialization (e.g., inventory management, product cost development) Develops and implements training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals Provides leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; creates and promotes a positive and supportive work environment Along with a
