As an Account Manager (or Client Manager, CM), you will sell Optiv security services and security technology solutions to a select group of strategic accounts (typically fewer than 20) within a geographic territory. You will own and coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle within your assigned accounts and lead a cross-functional team to build and execute a multi-year strategic account management plan. This team typically includes a Solutions Architect, Client Operations Specialist, and services practices personnel as appropriate for your accounts. You will develop a multi-year strategic account management plan for your top accounts, identify your client’s core security concerns, and map them to Optiv solutions that mitigate cybersecurity risks. You will coordinate with appropriate Optiv personnel to refine/build a security strategy and propose solutions—often comprising security technology and services, and, when appropriate, large, complex solutions including security management consulting, hardware and software security technologies, advisory, implementation and support services, and managed security services. The overarching goal is to establish a trusted relationship where Optiv becomes the client’s primary security solution partner. You will engage clients with a focus on continually improving client satisfaction. This includes meeting with top clients early in the year to document business, technology, and security goals, and reviewing progress quarterly with Optiv leadership and resources to ensure targets are met or exceeded. What You’ll Make An Impact

Build trusted, effective relationships with client executives within assigned accounts. Lead creation of multi-year strategic account management plans for top accounts, aligned with client goals and Optiv’s perspective on security trends and threats. Develop a large sales pipeline within assigned accounts and strive to meet or exceed gross margin targets. Manage current and multi-quarter forecasts with high accuracy and integrity. Execute with discipline in line with Force Management principles (including MEDDICC and Command of the Message). Effectively communicate Optiv’s value proposition related to security services and technologies. Build strong relationships with technology partners and their sales teams to generate and share leads for qualified pipeline opportunities. Coordinate communications between clients, technology partners, and the Optiv team (technical, sales, client operations, etc.). Maintain collaborative internal communications regarding opportunities, requirements, and client satisfaction. What We’re Looking For

Experience in product or services-based sales (typically 2–3 years), ideally in a technology company. Experience selling complex, multi-year hardware, software, services, and financing solutions to Fortune 1000 clients. Proven ability to build and execute territory and account prospecting plans with a track record of exceeding quotas. Experience coordinating cross-functional resources (sales, pre-sales, and other support) effectively. Demonstrated ability to build productive executive-level relationships within assigned accounts. History of achieving above-plan results and strong business acumen to correlate business goals with cybersecurity risk in developing security solutions. Preferred: knowledge of IT Infrastructure, IT security, Risk & Compliance markets and competitors; experience selling management consulting services. What You Can Expect From Optiv
