The Area Manager is responsible for patient care in their discipline, facilitating and developing the relationship/coordination between multiple site rehab departments, developing and building the rehab teams, and marketing the facilities. The Area Manager acts as a resource for the team and patient in problem solving. This role coordinates resources, optimizes caseloads, identifies educational opportunities, and implements clinical programs within the Broad River Rehab value system to create value for residents, customers and employees. Broad River Rehab is a NC-based growing therapy company that partners with providers across settings including assisted/independent and skilled nursing facilities to provide premier physical, occupational and speech therapy services. Responsibilities

Patient/Caseload Management: Manage and coordinate the rehab team to deliver care efficiently, ensuring adequate therapy staff to meet patient needs. Provide direct care as per job description and manage your own caseload and productivity. Team and Problem Solving: Participate as an effective team member and maximize team effort for facility and patient care excellence. Communicate patient assignments to all disciplines and assist in problem solving with the team. Admissions and Reassessment: Ensure timely response to new admissions and reassess current patients to identify changes that could require additional therapy. Achieve Broad River Rehab utilization expectations. PHI Compliance: Follow established PHI policies to prevent privacy or security breaches and report breaches to the Privacy Official. Customer Relations/Business Development: Maintain relationships with facility leadership to ensure effective customer relations and alignment with facility objectives; educate on reimbursement issues to enhance profitability; identify new clinical program opportunities. Utilization Review/Performance Improvement: Participate in activities to coordinate rehab efforts with the facility and develop monitors to meet quality care objectives. Staff Management and Development: Assist with staff training and orientation, recruit, provide feedback, and ensure staff understand business aspects of therapy delivery. Ensure compliance with data reporting systems. Finance and Administration: Monitor billing accuracy, time in facility logs, and communication with the corporate office; ensure BRR correspondence reaches therapy staff and policies are current. Qualifications

Baccalaureate (OT/PT) or Masters (SLP) or graduate of approved school as a COTA/PTA; appropriate licensure and national certification as applicable. 1-3 years of management experience. Knowledge of Medicare billing procedures and documentation compliance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coach, mentor, and resolve problems; ability to maximize team contribution. Behavioral Characteristics
