Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls, qualify, and distribute customer inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide support to the sales team by researching and cultivating potential leads, disseminating e-blasts, and participating in sales blitzes as needed.
Assist with sales efforts in soliciting new business.
Provide administrative support for the department, including data entry, completion of sales reports, and ensuring the accuracy and timely handling of signed contracts and payment information.
Contribute to client satisfaction by handling inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist in problem-solving and ensure overall quality of group sales and catering efforts.
Assist and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner while delivering high-quality service.
Work as a team player in meeting guest needs and actively contribute to other departments as necessary.
Understand and follow the guest service recovery program.
Coordinate with the sales team to ensure space and resources are used appropriately.
Ensure proper use of equipment and supplies and adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
May be responsible for inventory and ordering of office supplies.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
Follow procedures for guest/associate incidents and be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to produce the required volume of work.
Adhere to attendance, grooming, appearance standards, and department procedures.
Attend required department and hotel meetings and manage own workload effectively.
Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills and promote a collaborative, professional work environment.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Previous customer service and administrative experience required, preferably in hospitality or service; proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and basic computer use; strong verbal and written communication; attention to detail; ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Delphi and PMS systems a plus.
Physical: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
