North LA County Regional Center (NLACRC) Job Overview North Los Angeles County Regional Center “NLACRC” is a private, non-profit agency that is contracted with the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, to provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Establish the individual budget, associated spending plan, and case management services to consumers registering and/or participating in Self-Determination Program services. Assist participants with the transition in and out of the SDP. Assist in the transfer of funds originally distributed to any budget category to another budget category or categories. Document, complete forms and reports in accordance with regulations and NLACRC policies and procedures. Work with Independent Facilitators and Financial Management Services providers. Initiate and respond to consumer, family, service provider, and outside agency communications. Schedule and attend interdisciplinary meetings with individuals served, family members, service providers, advocates, etc. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field and two years of related experience. Understanding of family systems and appreciation for person-centered planning and thinking. Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities, good organizational skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. What We Offer Health and dental plans.
