As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our accounting team at our Woodridge, Illinois office. As a payroll specialist, your key responsibility is to make sure that everyone receives their pay on time and without any errors. Responsibilities
Prepare and process weekly multi-state union and non-union payroll. Process layoff checks. Process new hire paperwork/updating employee records while keeping strict confidentiality. Coordinate with field superintendents and employees to assure accuracy and resolve payroll discrepancies. Assist with expense and Per diem reimbursement. Monthly union reporting and maintenance of union files as needed for rate and benefit changes. Prepare and maintain various statistical reports. Certified Payroll, governmental & OCIP/CCIP insurance reporting Assist with quarterly payroll tax filings, W-2’s preparation, and year end processing. Assist with union audits. Additional tasks as required by the role. Qualifications
Construction industry experience is preferred. A positive disposition with an ability to work in teams. An eagerness to learn and grow in the position. Self-motivation with a desire to assume more responsibility. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel and Word. Seniority level
