Chemeketa Counseling Center is looking for an outstanding student-centered counselor who will provide short-term mental health, career, academic and crisis counseling services to students. The department also offers Counseling and Guidance courses. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Counseling & Student Support Services, the selected candidate will be part of a team including other faculty members as well as other professional staff in Career Services and Basic Needs. This position will play an active and important role in the development and implementation of Chemeketa Community College’s Pathways initiatives. This position also develops programs and services related to mental health, career exploration and wellness. We are looking for a proactive counselor who models a high standard of ethical behavior, flexibility, empathy, caring and is able to embrace changes in their profession. We need a professional who is excited to be part of the team of people who help students throughout their Chemeketa experience and lead with a passion for and knowledge of multicultural awareness.
