Oakland United Beerworks in the Jack London District is expanding. With growing brand awareness, we need additional salespeople to be our front-line presence in stores, bars and restaurants across the Bay Area. Areas of particular interest are Marin, Sonoma, Alameda, Contra Costa, Yolo, Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties. Job Description
Now the nuts and bolts: Act as a representative of Oakland United Beerworks and meet with store buyers and bar and restaurant managers to sell draft kegs and cans of our product. We are looking for Sales Representatives throughout the San Francisco Bay area. You must be able to understand and communicate the subtle differences in beer types to our customer base. You will be in charge of booking your own accounts and expect compensation to be reflected by this commission-based position. Responsibilities
Meet with store buyers and bar/restaurant managers to sell draft kegs and cans. Book and manage your own accounts within the designated territory. Promote the Oakland United Beerworks brand through events at client sites, including tap takeovers, on- and off-premise promotions, and in-store demonstrations as needed. Attend regional brewery shows, festivals and other events as required, which may include weekends. Understand and communicate the differences in beer types to customers. Travel within the territory; own transportation and a clean driving record; mileage reimbursed. Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field beer sales. Experience working with Distribution Partners and leveraging the Distributor’s sales force. Cicerone certification is a plus. Verifiable sales performance history from past employment. Ability to work with clients to promote the brand and meet/exceed quotas. Willingness to promote events such as tap takeovers and brewery shows. Must have own transportation, a clean driving record, and be reimbursed for mileage. CRM familiarity: VIP-Karma or Lilypad (must be updated daily). May be required to make emergency deliveries to customers (kegs and cases). Compensation
You will receive a base salary, but the bulk of income is expected to come from commissions. We offer a percentage of each sale back to you. Health, dental and vision insurance compensation, direct deposit, and mileage reimbursement for travel expenses are provided. Work Location
