We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated
Territory Sales Manager
to join our team. You will foster strong relationships with agency partners, promote our commercial and personal lines products, and support marketing initiatives. Your technical insurance knowledge, industry trends, and communication skills will help expand our footprint and market presence. Key Responsibilities
Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of WestPac’s insurance products and services, and how they integrate into the broader P&C market. Marketing Strategy Execution: Collaborate with management to implement marketing strategies and plans for WestPac. Agency Relationships and Engagement: Regularly engage with retail agencies through visits, events, conventions, trade shows, and carrier dinners and discuss WestPac products, industry trends, and business strategies to foster positive relationships and growth. Travel and Agency Visits: Travel to visit agencies within WestPac’s geographic areas; travel requirements vary by business needs. Reporting: Log discussions with agents and carriers regarding exposures, coverage, and accounts in our CRM and provide weekly marketing reports. Business Development & Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop strategic agency partnerships to drive new revenue. Marketing Campaigns: Assist with marketing materials, social media campaigns, e-blasts, and website updates. Underwriting Support: Provide minor underwriting assistance as needed to support internal teams. Carrier Relationships: Maintain positive, ongoing relationships with carriers to ensure smooth operations. Team Support: Work with internal teams (Brokers, Underwriters, Accounting, Claims) to address technical issues and resolve client concerns. Additional Tasks: Assist with other marketing and company-related functions as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance marketing or related fields, with a preference for candidates with Broker or Underwriter experience. Required insurance licensing as mandated by the State Department of Insurance in the states where the agency operates (or willingness to obtain the necessary licenses). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher). Familiarity with agency management systems and other software is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. Ability to travel regularly for agency visits and industry events.
