Mid-Market Account Executive, Expansions role at
Brex . We are seeking candidates to drive revenue growth by expanding existing Brex customers and acquiring new business opportunities. What You’ll Do
Drive net-new revenue growth by increasing spending levels on the Brex Card among current clients. Proactively identify and cultivate expansion opportunities through targeted outbound activities. Cross-sell Brex Spend Management software, including Expense Management, Billpay, and Travel solutions, to broaden clients’ financial operations. Engage with CFOs and finance leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to optimize financial operations through Brex solutions. Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the overall client experience, including product feature feedback and implementation improvements. Where you’ll work
This role is based in one of the following offices: San Francisco, NY, Seattle, or Salt Lake City. It is a hybrid role with a requirement for a minimum of two coordinated in-office days per week (Wednesday and Thursday). Up to four weeks per year of fully remote work may be available. Spearhead initiatives to propel revenue growth by strategically increasing Brex Card usage within the existing client base. Proactively identify and pursue expansion opportunities through targeted outreach. Champion cross-selling of Spend Management software to diversify and enhance clients’ financial operations. Engage with finance leaders to provide expert consultation on optimizing operations via Brex solutions. Formulate and execute plans to improve the client experience and product/implementation processes. Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience in Sales roles within B2B SaaS or Payments companies 1+ years of closing experience, preferably in net-new logo acquisition 1+ years of outbound prospecting experience Strong communication and negotiation skills Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze customer behavior Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets Ability to work in fast-paced, high-velocity environments Coachability and interest in growing a career in sales Bonus points
Familiarity with financial products, credit cards, and business finance Understanding of credit card management, limits, rewards, and underwriting Familiarity with software solutions in Expense Management, Travel, and Billpay Experience in upselling and cross-selling strategies Awareness of competitive landscape and market dynamics Experience handling renewals and reducing churn Familiarity with sales tools such as Gong, Salesforce, Outreach, etc. Series 7 license Compensation
The expected OTE range for this role is USD $132,000 - $166,000. The starting wage depends on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. OTE includes base salary and commissions, which may be earned depending on performance. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be part of a total package.
