Overview
As a Counter Manager in the Macy's Cosmetics Department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a cosmetics line, including coaching a team of Beauty Advisors. You will also engage with customers to learn about their beauty and style choices, enhance your creativity through customer consultation and make-up and product application, and help your team reach sales targets.

What You Will Do
Inspire teamwork to reach sales goals and elevate the customer experience
Create lasting connections with customers in cosmetics, beauty, and fragrance
Review and analyze business performance of daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual sales results
Develop and implement business driving events to achieve department goals
Supervise stock presentation, organization, storage, and replenishment
Sell merchandise through effective customer service techniques and professional selling skills to reach personal productivity goals
Meet and exceed sales goals
Work with vendors to optimize business outcomes
Manage vendor events and promotions, including scheduling and execution
Maintain compliance with all hygiene standards
Foster an inclusive environment and authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
Skills You Will Need
Leadership: ability to lead a team, coach, and drive performance
Subject Matter Expertise: proficiency in vendor lines and beauty trends
Analytical Skills: ability to use metrics to develop action plans
Communication: strong written and verbal communication
Interpersonal Skills: ability to work with colleagues at all levels
Creativity and Strategic Thinking: think creatively and strategically
Detail Orientation: attention to detail in daily tasks and reports
Collaboration: partner with Prestige and total Beauty teams
Who You Are
Able to coach and provide feedback to Beauty Advisors to exceed daily goals
Passionate about business and beauty industry; customer-focused
Able to resolve customer problems and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and reliability
Flexible with availability including days, evenings, weekends, holidays
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
Essential Physical Requirements
Lifting, constant movement, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
Standing for extended periods; lifting at least 25 lbs; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
Reaching above eye level; color vision
Frequent use of computers and handheld equipment; ability to process transactions
