Overview
Kenjya-Trusant is looking for a System Engineer to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction area. Responsibilities
Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) (DoDAF, SOA, etc.). Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents. Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components. Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination. Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based on evaluation of development and operational considerations. Minimum Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required due to access to sensitive information. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph. Experience level by level: Level 3 requires 20 years of relevant experience; Level 2 requires 14 years; Level 1 requires 7 years. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree at each level. Experienced hardware engineering: knowledge of FPGAs, ModelSim (HDL simulation), and Xilinx tools. Desired/Preferred Skills
Software languages (Java, C, C++, Ruby on Rails) and operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows). Additional Duties
Schedule requested evaluations submitted from vendors. Receive, unpack, and set up submitted commercial equipment for evaluation. Review equipment documentation and manuals related to secure destruction/storage equipment, evaluated to NSA/DoD standards. Set up tools and sensors to support evaluations (e.g., sound and temperature sensors, microscope, sieves). Operate equipment to perform defined performance and safety evaluations. Collect technical data, take photographs, and generate technical reports documenting evaluation results. Review and update policies related to secure destruction. Respond to customer inquiries concerning policies and procedures. Pay Range & Employment Type
The proposed salary range is tiered by level: Level 1: $150,000.00 – $182,000.00; Level 2: $195,000.00 – $235,000.00; Level 3: $222,000.00 – $274,000.00. Employment type: Full-time, Exempt.
