Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer Location: North Kingstown, RI | Reports to: Product Compliance Manager About Hayward Hayward Holdings Inc. is a global leader in pool and spa equipment. As the world’s largest maker of residential pool equipment, we are also expanding in the commercial market. The Role We are seeking an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to join our team in North Kingstown, RI. This role supports global certifications in product safety, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), performance, and regulatory compliance. What You’ll Do Lead EMC testing and certifications for electronic and electromechanical products (LED lighting, controls, automation systems). Support product safety, EMC, and radio approvals from early design through final certification. Work with third-party labs, certification bodies, and agencies to secure global approvals. Take part in design reviews to identify compliance needs and guide project teams. Collect samples and documentation for testing and approvals. Provide guidance during all phases of the certification process. Keep project teams updated on test results and certification progress. Create and manage a database of compliance records. Review and maintain agency documentation for accuracy. Stay current with regulatory standards and industry codes. Help develop internal processes, test equipment, and lab procedures. Train engineers on compliance and certification requirements. Assist during audits to ensure product compliance. Represent Hayward professionally with customers, suppliers, and agencies. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related science (Electrical Engineering preferred). 3+ years of regulatory or testing experience in product design. Experience with UL, CSA, and IEC standards. Background in EMC testing and mitigation. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly. Strong communication and teamwork skills with high ethical standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Physical & Work Environment Mix of office and lab work, with occasional outdoor tasks. May require lifting up to 45 lbs. Work near water, electrical equipment, and mechanical assemblies. Travel may be needed to other facilities or test labs. Why Join Hayward? We are committed to
