You won’t be buried in process or stuck in a silo. You’ll work in a tight knit engineering team where your input genuinely shapes product direction, from early architecture decisions through to integration and test. Compensation This range is provided by Round-Peg Solutions (RPS). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Lead the development of system requirements, interface control docs, and architecture using Cameo and SysML (MBSE)
Define and manage system-level test plans, verification objectives, and traceability to DO-178C and DO-254
Coordinate across software, firmware, hardware, and test teams to ensure system-level alignment
Work on a product with complex comms protocols, safety-critical constraints, and multi-discipline integration
Own the technical approach through milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.)
Qualifications
A background in software engineering / programming prior to moving into systems engineering
Strong understanding of real-time communications protocols (UDP, RS-422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553)
Familiarity with systems certification standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD-810, or MIL-STD-461
Experience with MBSE tools like Cameo and requirements management systems like DOORS or Visure
