Sales Engineer

Mahr Inc. Position located in the Denver, CO area within the
WEST
district (Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and possibly Northern California). Denver, CO is the ideal location, but candidates living in any large city in the district near a major airport and willing to travel up to 100% will be considered. This position reports to the West Regional Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
Metrology Equipment , be self-directed, resourceful, and focused on deepening market share within the assigned region.
Responsibilities
Territory Management: Develop and execute sales plans for the assigned district, identify current key accounts while cultivating new customers within existing and emerging market segments.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions. Regular air travel (60% to 80% of the time, including overnights) within the district territory.
Channel Partners: Support and educate the distribution network with ongoing technical assistance, quotes, new product updates, demonstrations, and promotions to ensure they promote the Mahr brand effectively.
Product Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to position Mahr metrology equipment in the market.
Forecasting: Daily use of Salesforce CRM to create opportunities, events, and tasks related to engagement and district management.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer support, and product development to ensure a cohesive, customer-centric outcome.
Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
2 years of proven outside sales experience within dimensional metrology or closely related industry (outside sales experience with industrial capital equipment will also be considered).
Leadership skills to support distribution channels and representative personnel is preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation and selling skills with the ability to develop lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
High level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Based from home office, able and willing to travel up to 80% of the time within the assigned district.
