We’re seeking a
Senior Mechanical Engineer
to join the hardware development team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of mechanical design projects from concept through production, contributing to the design, prototyping, testing, and validation of complex medical devices. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams — including electrical and software engineers — and collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to bring innovative designs to market. This is a hands-on role with direct impact on the development of life-changing medical technologies. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, prototyping, and validation of medical device components and subsystems Create CAD 3D models and detailed engineering drawings to company standards Conduct design reviews and ensure outputs meet system and customer requirements Collaborate with contract manufacturers, designers, and specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability Perform engineering simulations such as FEA and CFD to support design decisions Contribute to risk management activities, including dFMEA and design verification testing Support regulatory compliance efforts (V&V testing, FDA 510k submissions) Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, intuitive, and robust products on time and within cost targets What We’re Looking For
B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree a plus) 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical or electromechanical design Proven ability to take designs from concept to production Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, etc.) Experience in medical device development strongly preferred Familiarity with FDA regulatory requirements, V&V testing, and 510k submissions Background in power tools, robotics, or complex mechanical assemblies a plus Experience with stack-up tolerance analysis and mechanical simulations (FEA, CFD) Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Why Join?
