Overview
This on-site Mechanical Design Engineer will produce high-quality 3D models, layouts, and drawings in SolidWorks, supporting new and existing electro-mechanical products and assemblies. You’ll prepare release packages, maintain documentation through the control system, and partner closely with engineering teams to refine designs from verbal instructions, sketches, existing hardware, or lab models. The schedule operates on a 9/80 workweek; overtime is available but not required. Top 3 Job Functions
Create and revise 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks for precision mechanical hardware. Release and maintain technical documentation through the company’s document control/PDM systems. Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical/electrical engineering to translate concepts and lab models into manufacturable designs. Industry Focus

Build and update 3D models, detailed drawings, and design layouts using SolidWorks. Translate verbal guidance, sketches, existing hardware, and engineering prototypes into precise mechanical documentation. Prepare complete release packages (models, drawings, BOMs/metadata) for mechanical hardware; route through documentation control/PDM. Support drawing revisions and Engineering Change activities; ensure traceability and configuration integrity. Monitor personal work quality, timelines, and task status; maintain an organized calendar. Apply sound logic and factual data to drive design decisions; communicate clearly across teams. Stay composed and professional in deadline-driven situations; contribute positively as a team player. Required Qualifications
Proficiency in SolidWorks for part/assembly modeling and production drawings. Working knowledge of machinery design principles and manufacturability. Proven collaborator and effective team contributor. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HVAC/refrigeration systems or components. Background working with large/complex 3D assemblies. Semiconductor industry exposure (tools, subsystems, or capital equipment). PDM experience (e.g., managing revisions, lifecycle states, and releases). Understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies and interfaces.
