Hardware Engineer
— Tysons Corner, VA Responsibilities
Configure, install and maintain all standard PC and Mac hardware and software, including all aspects of the installation process from receiving equipment to delivery to end users. Document standard operating procedures and other processes related to the Hardware Team. Perform computer equipment upgrades and repairs (e.g., memory installations, driver upgrades). Provide hardware support for printers and other IT equipment. Maintain the asset management database containing all information necessary for the lifecycle of IT assets. Maintain stock locations for storing assets awaiting deployment or disposal. Create and manage reports to maintain inventory of computer supplies and equipment. Provide timely status reports that meet service level agreements for quality service delivery. Provide advance notification to IT management regarding potential issues before they occur. Work closely with the Customer Support Team to troubleshoot and provide support for Windows and Mac workstations for headquarters and off-site customers. Support on- and off-site corporate events. Research and resolve customer issues in a timely and accurate manner with minimal guidance. May be assigned to various, unanticipated worksites throughout the United States; telecommuting is an option. Some travel to MicroStrategy, Inc.\'s Tysons Corner, VA office is required. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in the offered job or related field. Special Skill Requirements: (1) computer hardware environment; (2) Microsoft Office; (3) Python; (4) PowerShell; (5) operating systems administering; (6) system software; (7) technical troubleshooting; (8) diagnosis; (9) self-use scripts; (10) cryptographic authentication; (11) UDP sockets; (12) one-directional data transfers; (13) reduction in power gain; (14) amplitude weighting.
