As an Optimus Remanufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of the Optimus humanoid fleet. You will apply technical skills to troubleshoot, test and repair the mechanical and electrical systems comprising the Optimus humanoid robot. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to ensure minimal bot downtime and maximum first pass yield. Remanufacturing Technicians are the first-responding problem solvers who evaluate and escalate pattern failures. This is a physically demanding job, requiring walking and standing all day, as well as bending, squatting, and kneeling throughout the day. Remanufacturing Technicians will occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and utilize hand/power tools throughout every working day. What You'll Do
Perform rebuild of critical Optimus subassemblies, following standard work/test/troubleshoot procedures Assist in the development and continuous improvement of standard work procedures and tooling Document all repair, test and troubleshooting procedures performed in accordance with stakeholder recommendations Perform Corrective Maintenance (repairs) on low voltage electrical systems, hardware communication troubleshooting tools, mechanical linkages and electrical daisy chains Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms Organize Shop and workstations for maximum safety, efficiency, rate and quality in output What You'll Bring
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology is preferred; 3+ years of experience maintaining software controlled electro-mechanical machinery or technical military experience in lieu of Degree, or equivalent experience Areas of specialization may include one or more of the following: electrical/electronics, mechanical/machining or automation/PLC/robotics Skilled at troubleshooting electro-mechanical products using first principles and structured problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis Skilled with the use of a variety of hand tools, press tools and power tools Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics Understanding of sequential process flows, parts repair and salvage operations and direct experience with using several software tools like Confluence, MOS, MRB or Jira Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Compensation and Benefits
Expected Compensation $28.75 - $42.73/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
