Our client, a well-established General Contractor based in Dallas, is seeking a talented Estimator to join their team. This contractor specializes in ground-up commercial projects across K-12, Higher Education, Municipal, Public Sector, and Government Infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they offer stability, growth opportunities, and the chance to work on meaningful projects that shape the community. The Role: As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in the preconstruction process, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and value in every bid. Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for ground-up commercial projects. Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and requirements. Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses. Identify value engineering opportunities and provide cost-saving solutions. Work closely with Project Managers and leadership teams to develop proposals and bid strategies. Assist in preparing and presenting bid packages to clients. Track historical cost data to improve future estimating accuracy. Maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing. Stay current with market trends, material costs, and construction methods. Requirements
Minimum 4 years’ experience as an Estimator with a General Contractor. Proven track record on ground-up commercial projects in K-12, higher education, municipal, or government sectors.
