Arcadis, a global leader in sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy, is seeking a highly motivated Principal Protection and Control Engineer to join our Power Delivery & Renewable team. This senior position involves technical leadership in protection and control engineering, project management, and client engagement, primarily for utility and renewable energy projects across North America. Key responsibilities:
Manage and develop the Protection and Control team, overseeing resource planning and quality assurance. Support project development from conceptual design through construction, including detailed engineering and studies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive design packages and review engineering studies. Serve as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, or Technical Lead to support business growth and project delivery. Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality standards are met. Work with leadership on strategic planning, resource allocation, and financial performance. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. At least 12 years of relevant experience in protection schemes, relay and control engineering, and system design for substations and energy facilities. Experience within Power Delivery Protection & Relay Control consultancy, with proficiency in engineering software such as SKM, ASPEN, ETAP, CAPE, etc. PE License required. Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Additional information:
