Global Standards Engineer
to develop and implement engineering standards and best practices while coaching and enhancing the competency of global engineering teams. Responsibilities: Developing standards, guidelines, and internal best practices while engaging with regulatory bodies and industry groups to stay informed of external best practices. Working within a global team, harmonizing technical platforms and specifications globally. Ensuring engineering and manufacturing practices comply with regulations, and monitoring & integrating updates to industry standards. Providing expertise on the application of standards in design, development, and production including assisting project teams in interpreting and applying standards. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality. Incorporating environmental objectives into product design, and manufacturing processes. Revising standards based on project defect analysis and feedback to design. Developing and delivering training on industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Partnering with stakeholders to integrate standards into capital projects. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or related fields. 5 years of experience as a project & process engineer, working with engineering standards, compliance, etc. Previous experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Must be willing and able to travel 20% globally for audits or major meetings. Willingness to work onsite in at a Griffith location 1-2 days per week. Qualified candidates must currently possess authorization to work in the country in which they are applying. What Will Set You Apart: 10 years experience as a project & process engineer, working with engineering standards, compliance, etc. A background in Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies. PE license or designation.
