In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Function as a technical specialist or in a lead substation design role encompassing EHV transmission level voltage class. Under general direction, develops and applies advanced engineering techniques, concepts and approaches to complex engineering problems. Provide technical guidance over a group or supervise engineering staff on substation design projects. May be responsible for developing, validating, and presenting specialist/technical output. Will lead other engineers and interface directly with clients. Be responsible for the overall execution and quality of substation projects as a leader within a team environment. This is a

Denver, CO . Flexible hybrid expectations allow three in-office days and two flex/remote days per week. The Team

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program. Minimum of 8 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected). Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain budgets and schedules for multiple substation design projects. Perform EHV substation design, including physical design, protective relaying/control. Provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatch policies. Independently applies knowledge and complies with Black and Veatch quality program. Interface directly with clients, vendors and subcontractors. Mentor less experienced engineers. Salary Plan
In accordance with local law, the following Annual compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $116,501.00 - $194,117.00.
