Responsibilities
Provide status updates and percentage completion on items moving through the shop.
Attend weekly production and project management meetings to stay updated on project progress.
Participate in bi-weekly sequence update meetings to ensure accurate project schedules.
Communicate production plans based on sequence and schedule updates.
Maintain and update customer service sales order statuses.
Export sequences from Epicor to Excel for weekly project updates.
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure clear communication across departments.
Work with Purchasing to track delivery dates for third-party items and adjust schedules accordingly.
Communicate sequence changes to all affected teams and proactively address issues.
Anticipate project timelines and alert teams to potential delays.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Business Management, or equivalent experience in production planning.
Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably EPICOR, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
Understanding of manufacturing workflows from engineering through shipping.
Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment You will primarily work in an office workstation within the Production Office, with occasional duties requiring presence on the manufacturing floor. The department has a close-knit culture, and you will be part of a large company with 300 employees. The workspace includes 12-15 workstations, and safety shoes are provided. The Engineering department works remotely on MWF, requiring remote coordination.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
