Our team develops new or modifies processes, defines process equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of Ring Laser Gyroscope and MEMS based inertial sensors and IMUs. As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell Aerospace, you will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing processes. You will determine equipment and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification for both existing and new processes. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Support daily production activities and drive producibility improvement projects for new products in a challenging environment. Responsibilities Provide test and manufacturing support for sub components in the Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production lines. Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements. Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices. Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis. Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions. Assist development of new products. Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow. Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals. Test products & software Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics 2+ years experience or Advanced degree in Engineering discipline We Value Product or process engineering experience. Experience with Optics. Ability to work in a cleanroom environment. Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects. Hands on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions. Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members across functions. Quickly and accurately identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream).
