Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
Location Sugar Land, TX (office) with travel as required
Key Experience and Skills
4-8 years’ experience in the development of comprehensive electrical construction and specification packages suitable to be stamped by a Professional Engineer and submitted for authority plan check, comprising:
Conduit and cable schedules
Construction specifications
Equipment and installation details
Additional experience in area classification drawings (preferred)
Knowledgeable of NEC, IEEE 3000 Series (formerly color books), and API 500 (preferred)
Adept at Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Experience with power system modeling tools – ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower (preferred)
Experience with electrical power relay settings generation and implementation – GE Multilin and SEL (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam Completion
Responsibilities
Develop electrical power load studies
Develop comprehensive electrical power construction packages suitable to be stamped by a Professional Engineer and submitted for authority plan check
Develop electrical power bills of materials and coordinate with vendors for procured equipment pricing
Perform field verification walkdowns, including as-building existing Electrical and E&I infrastructure
Perform factory acceptance testing on electrical power equipment
Lead start-up and commissioning, including electrical power and E&I troubleshooting as required
Provide after-hours support for internal/external clients as needed
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure quality of deliverables and budget adherence; communicate technical progress and change needs
Assist in developing cost estimates and proposals for new opportunities, applying technical guidance to labor, expenses, and procurement items
Travel approximately 40% with willingness to travel by air
