Job Title: Chief Engineer III Location: Onsite/Oshkosh WI Duration: 5+ Months Job Type: Contract Note: Interview Process: HM will request interview via Teams. Work Schedule: Routine shift hours. Infrequent overtime, weekend, or shift rotation. Demands/Deadlines: High volume and variable work demands and deadlines impose strain on routine basis or considerable stress intermittently; OR regular direct contacts with distressed individuals within the immediate work environment; and/or exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor. Top 3 Required Skills: 3+ years of engineering experience with design, testing, and system integration Proficiency with 3D CAD design tools and modeling Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills Must-Have Skills: Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or Software) 3+ years of relevant engineering experience Hands-on curiosity and problem-solving approach Strong technical writing and documentation skills Ability to work onsite full-time Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience applying root-cause problem-solving methodologies Background in electro-mechanical system integration Hands-on experience in product testing, test labs, or hardware-in-the-loop testing Familiarity with data acquisition tools and post-processing techniques Exposure to military combat systems Knowledge of video signal design and transmission systems Key Responsibilities
Design, analyze, and develop heavy-duty vehicle components and systems Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and technical tasks in compliance with standards Prepare plans, designs, layouts, specifications, and bills of material Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability Support production through technical assistance and issue resolution Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to address technical issues Document processes, prepare proposals, quotations, reports, and maintain project records Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) Minimum 3 years of related engineering experience Proficiency with 3D CAD design tools and modeling Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
