Scope
We are seeking a driven and skilled Reliability Engineer with a strong background in vibration analysis and rotating equipment diagnostics. This role is critical in driving asset reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting predictive maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in condition monitoring with a practical, hands-on approach to equipment improvement.
Essential Functions
Lead vibration analysis programs, including data collection, route development, spectrum interpretation, and report generation. Perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on rotating equipment (motors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, etc.). Develop and optimize predictive maintenance (PdM) routes and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies. Support asset criticality ranking and risk-based maintenance planning. Interface with maintenance, operations, and automation engineering teams to prioritize corrective actions based on data insights. Drive improvement projects to extend equipment life, eliminate chronic failures, and optimize machine health. Maintain and improve condition monitoring tools such as handheld vibration analyzers, online systems, ultrasound, thermography, etc. Maintain compliance with plant safety standards and reinforce reliability best practices across departments.
Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of hands-on experience with vibration analysis and rotating equipment. Vibration Analysis Certification (ISO Category III or IV equivalent) strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, ultrasound, oil analysis, infrared). Working knowledge of CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and condition monitoring software. Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
