We are in search of an experienced
Part-Time Mental Health Counselor
(Therapist) for our Baltimore, MD location. The Mental Health Therapist is innovative and committed to learning and developing their counseling skills, working with an interdisciplinary team. This position requires someone invested in patient care with a solution-focused attitude. Responsibilities
On-site clinical presence at our Baltimore, MD location Part-time schedule: Monday/Wednesday 7:00am-3:00pm + Friday 8:00am-12:00pm Run a minimum of two group therapy sessions per week, facilitating a supportive environment and promoting recovery goals through collaborative group interventions Provide high-quality clinical therapeutic services to patients while assessing and tracking client stages of change readiness and recovery Deliver services with a client-centered and family-centered healing approach using goal-specific interventions Conduct Mental Health Assessments from admission and for existing clients Develop a treatment alliance with patients that is mutual, collaborative, and individualized, adapting to changing clinical needs Coordinate care for appropriate support services, including referral sources, family members, and other providers Regularly assess treatment progress with the client and the clinical treatment team Document service delivery including treatment goals, group and individual session notes, and billing per Medicaid, Medicare, and CARF standards Engage in applicable duties such as case management sessions, assessments, and PRP referrals Ensure compliance with governing agency and reporting requirements Complete documentation within 24 hours of service delivery and meet state and CARF standards Maintain clinical records and ensure Admissions and Initial PRP referrals documentation is complete and accurate Participate in staff meetings, clinical team meetings, supervision sessions, and in-service as required Maintain confidentiality of client records and information Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, coworkers, families, and external contacts Work independently with effective time management and productivity Uphold high ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality; stay current with research and best practices Qualifications
Master’s degree in social work, counseling psychology, or a clinically related field required Licenses: LCPC, LMSW, LGPC, LGSW (Active and in good standing in Maryland) Experience with adults, substance use patients, or co-occurring disorders is a plus PHP experience is a plus Experienced and proficient in using an electronic health record system Benefits
