Location: Charlotte, North Carolina. 13-week travel assignment. Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Tech for this position.

Responsibilities
Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures and address questions as they arise
Maintain and inspect nuclear medicine equipment for proper functioning; report malfunctions and ensure radiation safety compliance
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications per established protocols and safety standards
Monitor patients for adverse reactions to radioactive drugs or other administered medications; intervene to ensure safety
Operate imaging equipment to create images of organs or body areas per physician orders
Document procedure details in patient records to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
Follow hospital safety rules and radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure to radioactive materials
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice
Required Qualifications
One year's experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech
Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
Proficiency in English (reading/writing/communication)
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude
Technical/motor skills for handling procedures and department equipment
Mental ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to varying schedules
Visual acuity and effective communication skills
