The Cardiovascular Technician II performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures and supports both inpatient and outpatient care settings, ensuring accurate data collection and patient safety. Responsibilities
Perform 12-lead Electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter monitor application and removal, cardiac stress testing, and related non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic procedures. Support both inpatient and outpatient care settings and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality cardiovascular diagnostic services. Travel throughout the East Submarket with the ability to pick up shifts at Euclid, Hillcrest, Mentor, South Pointe and Marymount Hospitals. Notify physicians, nurses or managers of abnormal results; notify secretaries of needed supplies. Maintain/troubleshoot equipment and communicate unresolved issues to Clinical Engineering. Process test results before and after physician interpretations. Role specifics
PRN Caregiver Role Summary: Typical Shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM; 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. PRN Position Requirements: Must be available to work all three shifts (day, evening, and night) of 8 hours; flexibility to fill in as needed; vacation coverage of full-time 40 hours/week for 1–2 weeks per year. Minimum qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Basic Life Support (BLS), Healthcare Provider Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Preferred qualifications
Credentials as an Allied Health Professional Completion of a Cardiac Technician and/or EEG Program Six months of ECG Tech and/or Stress Testing experience Physical requirements
Hand dexterity to operate ECG equipment and Holter monitors; standing and walking for extended periods; may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment
