Overview The OBGYN Physician will provide comprehensive primary and urgent care to an ethnically and socially diverse, female patient population in accordance with the values, beliefs and policies of Alliance Community Healthcare. The successful candidate will also perform routine obstetric and gynecological office procedures and follow up all abnormal pap smears.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.

Conducting physical examinations.

Order and interpret the results of laboratory, x-ray and other tests.

Perform routine office based obstetric and gynecological procedures including colposcopy and endometrial biopsies, etc.

Determine and implement appropriate courses of treatment.

Provide treatment plans and prescribe medications for issues/diseases of the female organs.

Provide care and treatment during prenatal and postnatal periods.

Monitor results of treatment; changing as necessary.

Maintain accurate, complete records that comply with Alliance policies.

Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Confer with student and resident physicians and other professional and support staff regarding care and treatment of patients and assists/mentors them in management of illness; serves as a resource to resolve patient/family concerns.

Monitor and ensures compliance with clinical evidence-based guidelines for adult and pediatric health care.

Having the ability to develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship.

Perform related duties as required.

Immunize patients from communicable diseases.

Refer patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.

Other clinical and/or administrative duties and responsibilities may be periodically assigned at the discretion of the Medical Director or Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications/Requirements Education:

Degree from accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency program. Completed residency training in OB/GYN at an ACGME accredited school

License/Credentials:

State of NJ Board of Medical Examiners Certificates. Board Certified. Valid medical license, DEA registration and CPR certification.
