This job will ideally be onsite for the first few months to collaborate directly with the other designers and Engineering team. The role will then transition to a fully REMOTE role with minimal travel to the Minneapolis office. Candidates can reside anywhere in MN during that time.
Compensation The Hourly pay is between
$31.69 - $39.78 / Hour
but is flexible for the right candidate depending on experience. The role can accumulate overtime but will not be common. There will be a guaranteed 40 hours a week. This is a direct hire role.
Job Summary Insight Global is assisting a PCB Design and Burn-In Testing client of ours in hiring a Lvl 2 or 3 PCB Designer. This position reports to the Burn-In Engineering Department and is responsible for designing and developing printed circuit boards, generating drawings using a computer-aided drafting (CAD) program for schematic, assembly, and fabrication drawings, designing layouts for standard and dense, hi-speed, multi-layer boards and assisting Engineering with identifying and resolving moderately complex design issues.
Key Responsibilities
Layout PCB designs using the CAD system and associated software.
Design layouts for standard and dense, hi-speed, multi-layer boards.
Perform proper dimensioning and designing of standard parts.
Prepares and processes basic Engineering changes to existing drawings.
Create Engineering documentation including CAD modeling, fabrication and drawings that conform to MCC standards.
Resolves moderately complex design issues by providing consultation and support to Engineering, Suppliers and Manufacturing.
May provide limited support to lower-level Designers.
Required Skills and Experience
Associates degree in Engineering CAD Technology and 3 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with IPC-4101, IPC-6012 and related documents.
Cadence Allegro/Altium/Other PCB design software experience.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
Power Integrity Analysis Software experience.
