Responsibilities

Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications; involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution.

Work on projects of high complexity within one or more development environments and on multiple programs/systems as a test lead.

Lead onshore and offshore team members; act as a subject matter expert for a single program/system.

Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners.

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience in a QA role or similar.

Cable modem experience.

Understanding of each layer of the OSI model (focus on layers 1-4).

Understanding of IPv4 vs IPv6 and how IPv6 is used.

Understanding of DNS records and their purposes.

General cable modem boot-up process and steps when powered on.

Basic ability to use HTTP and SNMP to check/troubleshoot devices.

Understanding of SNMP MIBs/OIDs and DOCSIS states.

Knowledge of downstream/upstream channels, channel bonding, T3/T4 timeouts, Linux basics (navigation and basic commands).

Proficiency with HP Test Suite or other testing tools.

Detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to learn new topics quickly and independently understand complex products.

Leadership capability to delegate, train, and motivate a team, and to synthesize test results in a fast-paced environment.
