Overview Title:

Founder Network Lead (External Chief of Staff)

Reports to:

CEO

Location:

Columbus, OH preferred (hybrid OK; light travel)

Mission

Turn the founder’s network into weekly outcomes. You’ll orchestrate our highest‑value relationships while shielding/maximizing the CEO’s time. Think: precise founder‑voice outreach, tight follow‑through, and clean CRM—plus EA‑lite support where it directly enables relationship flow.

Why this matters

Our network drives fundraising, strategic intros, customer conversations, and deal flow. This role is how we turn that asset into predictable progress without founder thrash.

What You’ll Own Founder Network Leadership (≈70–80%)

Maintain the

Top‑25

relationship map (who/why/next step) and expand it with clear tiers by purpose (fundraising, IL pilots, advisors, PE sourcing).

Draft in the founder’s voice —emails, quick intros, follow‑ups, and light texts—and get them out the door with context and timing that land.

Close loops fast:

confirm meetings, send concise recaps, capture decisions/next steps, and keep every active contact with a live “next action/date.”

Run micro‑campaigns:

targeted LP nudges, IL→portco intro pushes, and advisor accountability check‑ins.

CRM truth (Affinity):

dedupe, tag stages, and log notes within 24h; keep the pipeline audit‑ready.

EA‑lite that unlocks the network (≈20–30%)

Calendar & access gating

tied to relationship priorities; set meeting objectives and re‑sequence time to protect strategic work.

Meeting briefs & pre‑reads

for external priorities;

post‑meeting routing

of tasks/decisions into the OS (ClickUp/WBR) in partnership with VP Ops.

Executive comms calendar

with Fractional CMO (timely founder notes, investor touchpoints, event prep/approvals).

Strategic inbox triage

on relevant threads; light travel aligned to relationship goals.

No personal tasks/expenses.

How You’ll Work (interfaces)

CEO:

weekly priorities, Top‑25 plan, approvals on high‑stakes comms.

VP Ops / PMO:

OS hygiene (ClickUp/WBR), meeting standards, and routing.

Community & RevOps:

CRM standards, IL/LP tagging, logging, and reporting.

CRO:

align network activity to commercial outcomes; unblock key intros.

Fractional CMO:

founder voice/talk points; ship dates and approvals.

What Great Looks Like

Founder time stays in the right rooms; meetings are well‑set and well‑followed‑through.

The Top‑25 (and next‑25) always have a clear purpose and next step.

Affinity reflects reality—clean, deduped, searchable, and current.

Founder‑voice comms read like Max wrote them.

crisp writer

You’re low‑ego, proactive, and comfortable working directly with a founder.

Tools you’ll use:

Affinity, Google Workspace, ClickUp, Slack.

What you won’t do:

personal tasks, expenses, general admin for others, own “sales closing,” or broad office ops.
