$100,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Responsibilities Kforce has a client based in Saint Louis, MO that is looking for a Tax Manager to join their team. Summary: The Tax Manager will provide hands-on experience across a broad range of accounting and tax functions, with a primary focus on preparing individual and business tax returns. This position will offer meaningful exposure to bookkeeping, payroll, client engagement, and process optimization. It\u2019s ideal for professionals looking to deepen their technical expertise while building a strong foundation in practice management. The person in this role will have the opportunity to take ownership, expand their skill set, and grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. Will lead a team of 5 Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corp, and C corp tax returns Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Assist with year-end tax planning and projections Handle IRS and state correspondence, including audits and notices Improve processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and client experience Stay current on tax law updates and share knowledge with the team Support monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations Implement QuickBooks and other accounting tech for clients Advise clients on daily accounting matters Assist with benefit setup (e.g., 401(k), insurance) Deliver clear monthly financial summaries to clients Support integration of acquired CPA firms (accounting, payroll, tax systems) Research and share best practices across locations Collaborate on system improvements and standardization Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA required 4+ years of experience Strong organizational and time management skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Proficient in CCH and/or Drake preferred Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset and a desire to learn Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce\u2019s sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
