Overview
Maintenance Associate (Environmental Services Associate Maintenance) at AgeWell Solvere Living. Employment: Full-Time. Location: Sunscape Boca Raton, Parkland, FL. Responsibilities
Assists in general operational maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the Community’s physical plant. Communicates and helps coordinate tasks to accomplish repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment systems. Performs general maintenance work (light, electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.). Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills. Understands HVAC and may operate and/or maintain equipment. Replenishes and maintains supply levels in work areas. Ensures tools, work areas, and equipment are clean, in proper working order, and properly stored. Maintains the Community environment and all equipment for resident comfort and convenience. Repairs and maintains assigned equipment; reports hazardous conditions. Replaces light bulbs, exit lights, room call lights, etc., where needed. Conducts daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine maintenance needs; assists as requested. Supports safety practices (OSHA) among team members. Maintains the general appearance of the building and assists with events and ongoing furniture arrangements. Maintains a preventative maintenance log for mechanical systems and manages a preventative maintenance schedule. Maintains an effective work-order system procedure and participates in in-service training. Maintains confidentiality of Resident care information. Submits weekly invoices and spend-down reports to the Environmental Services Director. Performs other duties as required. Maintains a clean and orderly laundry room and stores chemicals per instructions. Follows safety rules and procedures when performing maintenance services. Performs Resident Emergency Call System checks in Resident units when requested. Reports on-the-job injuries to the Environmental Services Director by the end of the work shift on the day of the injury. Communicates effectively with Environmental Services Director and other team members. Qualifications
Must possess a High School Diploma. Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping policies, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations governing maintenance in the Community. Understanding of proper handling of biohazardous waste. Demonstrates sound judgment and reports unusual problems to the Environmental Services Director. Must possess a valid Driver’s License, preferably a Commercial Driver’s License. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; basic writing ability. Basic computer familiarity. Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings. Physical ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 60 pounds; stand for extended periods.
