Whitman, Requardt and Associates, LLP . Whitman, Requardt & Associates is seeking a mid-level Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic Building Design Group in Baltimore. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be a key player in completing the design and construction administration for small to medium-sized projects, as well as collaborating within larger design teams for substantial projects. We are looking for a highly experienced mechanical engineer with in-depth knowledge of various mechanical system designs, including DX packaged systems, hydronic systems, chilled water plants, heating water plants, and plumbing. Responsibilities
Construction Documentation:
Develop plans, sections, schedules, details, controls, cost estimates, and specifications for mechanical systems. Engineering Design Analysis:
Conduct mechanical system selection, energy and life cycle cost analysis, and ensure designs meet energy and sustainable design targets. Team Engagement:
Coordinate with other disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Technical Expertise:
Develop control strategies, calculations, system concepts, layouts, and designs. Mentorship:
Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior engineers and staff members, fostering their professional growth. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Maryland or the ability to obtain one. 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Proficiency in industry software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Must be a US Citizen Skills and Qualifications
Proficient knowledge of a variety of mechanical system designs, including DX packaged systems, hydronic systems, chilled water plants, heating water plants, and plumbing. Familiarity with relevant codes and guidelines. Excellent interdisciplinary coordination skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with project stakeholders.
