EHS Manager (Regional)
to support the EHS Leadership team and serve as a liaison between multi-site functions. Core responsibilities include working with Site Managers to achieve performance excellence and align EHS programs, practices, and security strategies. The Regional Manager will establish strong relationships with organizational stakeholders and the operational leadership team to drive a safe working culture and support the implementation of effective EHS programs. This role ensures alignment with Corporate EHS to identify and mitigate EHS risks and supports programs in accordance with federal, provincial, state, local regulations, and internal standards to drive continual improvement and an incident-free work environment. The position reports to the Senior Director of EHS and requires travel around 60% of the time. Responsibilities
Supports site leadership to drive zero incidents in environmental, employee health, safety, and security. Participates in WORLDPAC EHS network (communities, conferences, audits) representing the site to develop and implement consistent programs and practices. Partners with site leadership on incident management and notification. Fosters employee-led behavior-based safety processes in a team-based environment. Supports incident and near-miss investigations to identify root causes and track corrective actions. Assists and supports development of Site EHS Key Priorities with KPIs aligned to Corporate strategies for sustainable best-in-class EHS performance. Leads implementation of EHS management systems and coaches teams to use EHS tools and programs to enhance safety performance. Prevention
Leads cross-functional process improvement teams to address EHS and security issues, proposing strategic and tactical responses. Develops plans to minimize risks related to vehicle use and driver safety within the fleet. Analyzes incident data to identify trends and preventable incident types. Coaches and supports regional and site leadership in EHS goals and loss elimination. Monitors health of each plant’s EHS programs within their BU/Region. Supports facilities with health and safety improvement plans. Compliance
Monitors EHS regulatory compliance within WORLDPAC facilities. Interprets and provides guidance on policies, legislation, and documents related to environmental, health and safety, fleet and security initiatives to ensure compliance. Conducts regular audits and evaluates hazards to minimize risk. Supports sites with strategic solutions to improve and maintain compliance; oversees facility initiatives including periodic health checks. Improvement
Aids in developing EHS talent through coaching and feedback and leads technical development of EHS capabilities via site training. Collaborates with Food Safety Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams; serves as Health & Safety SME for Branch and Distribution platforms. Trains, coaches, and supports safety committee members and provides input on performance management. Builds capability to maintain a safe workplace for employees and shares best practices across sites. What You Should Have
Education
B.S. in a scientific, engineering, or technical discipline or related field Must-Have Skills
Minimum of 7+ years of relevant EHS experience Subject matter expertise in OSHA/EPA regulations Ability to travel 60% of the time within the US and Canada Leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders Knowledge of Process Safety Management and EPA Risk Management Plan standards Technical EHS skills: behavior-based principles, engineering, hazard recognition, risk assessment, and worker compensation administration General understanding of warehouses, equipment, and systems in a distribution environment Nice-to-Have Skills
Minimum of 3+ years of multi-site experience Professional certification CSP, CIH, CHP preferred Experience with environmental management information systems (EMIS) and support software (e.g., LMS) What WORLDPAC Provides To You
