Local 99 3rd Class Operating Engineer
for a client based in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will be based in Washington, DC, and will perform the duties of a 3rd class operating engineer as outlined below. All interested candidates must be members of Local 99 or willing to join Local 99 of the IUOE.
Required Licensure:
Must hold a current Washington DC 3rd Class Operating Engineers license.
Duties Include:
Responsible to his/her immediate supervisor for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment in his/her watch, including:
All boilers, accessories, and appurtenances.
All fired or unfired pressure vessels and vacuum systems.
Refrigeration and air conditioning machinery and related equipment, including maintenance of cold storage spaces.
Plumbing and piping systems, including water, gas, heating, steam, and sanitation.
Electrical appliances and fixtures, including lamping.
Emergency power equipment.
Electric motors, generators, circuits, and switchgear.
Machinery and equipment used in production and for the health and comfort of the business and personnel.
Any equipment under the supervision of the Chief Engineer.
Energy management systems, including software and hardware, with or without third-party contracts.
Current Shift:
Monday - Friday, 12pm - 8pm
