Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking a Field Superintendent to join our team of over 1,200 of the best fire protection professionals in the industry in our Houston, TX location. Responsibilities
Lead fire alarm installations from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all project specifications and code requirements. Supervise and coordinate field team, subcontractors, and site activities related to fire alarm systems. Conduct daily jobsite inspections to ensure safety, quality workmanship, and schedule adherence. Interpret electrical and fire alarm drawings and delegate tasks accordingly. Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and general contractors to address design or installation issues. Ensure timely procurement of fire alarm materials and equipment in coordination with Project Manager and warehouse. Support inspections, testing, and commissioning with AHJs and third-party agencies. Train, mentor, and develop foreman and helpers. Document field progress, change orders, and labor tracking through daily reports and project logs. Maintain tracking of all tools and material on site. Qualifications
5+ years of experience installing and programming fire alarm systems. Strong troubleshooting knowledge. Experience installing and programming Notifier systems preferred. Knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire alarm codes. Ability to oversee large scale complex projects. Texas FAL. OSHA 30 and other safety certifications are a plus. NICET Level II or higher preferred but not required. Must be able obtain Texas Security License.
