is a rapidly growing brand in the automotive aftermarket and is seeking engineering
talent to accelerate our exciting trajectory.
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Product Design Engineer with 10+ years
of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
product design and development, with the ability to translate ideas into functional,
manufacturable, and market-ready products. This role involves close collaboration with
cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and supply
chain, to ensure that products meet both customer and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptual Design & Development:
Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals. CAD Modeling:
Create and refine 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD software SolidWorks. Prototyping & Testing:
Develop and oversee the creation of prototypes to validate design concepts, and collaborate with testing teams to ensure product durability, safety, and compliance. DFM (Design for Manufacturing):
Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for cost-effective and efficient production, incorporating feedback from suppliers and factory partners. DFMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis):
Conduct and document DFMEA to identify potential design risks and ensure mitigations are in place early in the design process. DVP&R (Design Validation Plan & Report):
Develop and execute DVP&R to ensure all design and validation tests are completed to meet performance, safety, and durability standards. Material Selection:
Recommend appropriate materials and finishes based on product requirements, cost constraints, and sustainability goals. Project Management:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and performance targets are met. Collaboration:
Partner with other engineers, product managers, and industrial designers to create products that are innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Continuous Improvement:
Actively contribute to improving processes, tools, and systems related to product design and development. Qualifications and Skills: Education:
Bachelor or Master of Science / Mechanical Engineering Experience:
10+ years of experience in product development/automotive industry, ideally within a manufacturing or product development environment. CAD Software:
Minimum of 15,000 hrs 3DX (V6) or Solidworks Engineering Experience:
Injection Molding, Die Casting, Extrusions, Stamping, Compression Molding. DFMEA & DV/PV Test:
Strong experience identifying design requirements and test procedures. Note:
