Overview
As the Sales and Business Development Director for Semiconductor and Photonics Components at Nokia, you will spearhead our growth initiatives targeting hyperscalers and optical module manufacturers. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, marketing, and product management—you will shape and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue and builds enduring customer relationships. Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for silicon and photonics components targeting hyperscalers and optical module manufacturers.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the optical networking and high-performance computing industries.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing the sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.
Drive revenue growth through direct sales and strategic partnerships, setting and meeting ambitious sales targets.
Collaborate with engineering and applications teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs effectively.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while closing complex, high-value deals.
Provide market insights and sales forecasts to senior leadership, leveraging CRM systems for reporting and analytics.
Mentor and guide the sales team, fostering a performance-driven culture while managing large strategic accounts.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field
7-10 years of sales experience in the semiconductor, photonics, or optical communications industry
Deep understanding of photonics components and optical communication technologies
Proven leadership in managing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree
Industry contacts with key players in photonics, data center, and telecom sectors
Familiarity with optical module industry standards (e.g., OIF, IEEE, ITU)
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics software
