The power generation market continues to grow and evolve given strong capacity demand signals that haven’t existed for over a decade. As a result, our national Power Generation team is poised for monumental growth. We are seeking a qualified
Senior Mechanical Engineer
to help our clients develop, contract, and implement natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects while serving as Engineer of Record or Owner’s Engineer.

Responsibilities
Lead the project mechanical team and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
Monitor and communicate project status; provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner’s engineer projects on both technical and contractual levels.
Develop construction drawings, bid specifications, mechanical equipment sizing calculations, technical memos, bid evaluations, code reviews, feasibility studies, reports, and cost estimates.
Design and specify power generation systems for simple cycle, combined cycle, distributed generation, and RICE projects.
Mentor less experienced engineers and EITs; work within an established schedule and budget; manage multiple concurrent assignments.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience in power generation design
Professional Engineer (PE) license or P.Eng
Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector; proficient in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit)
Preferred Qualifications
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university
Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design
Gas turbine, steam turbine and/or large reciprocating engine experience
Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation
Experience with engineering power consulting or EPC firms
Experience in fossil power industry with owner’s engineer projects
Excellent communication and analytical skills; ability to mentor others; capable of working within schedule and budget; travel less than 10% for client and vendor meetings and site visits
