Hiring Range: $56.66 to $77.44
Pay Range: $56.66 to $87.83
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Optometrist provides direct optometric services to customer-owners, supporting the objectives of the Optometry program. Qualifications:
SCF programs primarily serve Alaska Native people affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s service area. Knowledge of these cultures and needs is essential to achieve SCF’s vision of a wellness-oriented Native Community and its mission of collaborative health and wellness services. Current Alaska license to practice optometry, including diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical endorsement. Eligibility for medical staff membership and privileges. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Native Preference:
SCF follows a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training under P.L. 93-638, as amended. Employee Health Requirements:
Compliance with SCF’s Employee Health Procedures is required. All job-related health screening and immunizations must be completed before employment begins. For HCP positions, documentation of immunizations such as MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory prior to starting. Licenses & Certifications:
