GEI’s Bloomfield office is seeking a motivated & experienced Geotechnical Engineer to assist on various projects throughout the region. Project types include buildings, infrastructure, transportation, dams, levees, waterfront development, excavation support systems, and remediation.
Responsibilities
Perform geotechnical analysis and design, and present data and results.
Manage field explorations, in situ infiltration testing, and construction activities.
Design and implement geotechnical instrumentation projects.
Prepare full design packages with calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Oversee construction of specialty geotechnical items such as deep foundations, tiebacks, and grouting.
Write letters, reports, and other deliverables.
Develop proposals and participate in business development activities.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
Geotechnical coursework required; structural coursework a plus.
3 to 5+ years of experience.
Passed the F.E. exam; PE license a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Ability to perform field work on active construction sites in various weather conditions.
