Our national Power Generation team is poised for growth as we help clients develop, contract, and implement natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects, serving as Engineer of Record or Owner’s Engineer. Opportunities are available in multiple locations across the United States. Responsibilities

Lead the project mechanical team and coordinate with other engineering disciplines Monitor and communicate project status and provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner’s engineer projects, on technical and contractual levels Work with a multi-discipline team supporting power and energy projects in utility, IPP, industrial, and institutional sectors Required Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering A minimum of 10 years of experience Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector Proficient with Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit) Commitment to being an active participant in HDR\'s employee-owned culture Preferred Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design Gas turbine, steam turbine and/or large reciprocating engine experience Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation Previous experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm Minimum 10 years of experience in the fossil power industry with a blend of design and owner\'s engineer projects Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments Excellent communication and analytical skills Willing to mentor less experienced engineers and EITs Proficient at working within an established schedule and budget Travel for client meetings and site visits is expected to be less than 10% What We Believe

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. The targeted salary range for this position (based on experience and location) is $108,661 - $204,250.
