Maintenance Specialist Position Summary The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to support safe and efficient production. Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs and PLC-controlled equipment, including AC/DC systems, 480/240/120 voltages, rectifiers, electrical controls, and bus systems. Utilize diagnostic tools such as volt/ohm meters, oscilloscopes, amp probes, pyrometers, tachometers, ultrasonic testers, and computers. Read and interpret electrical drawings, ladder logic diagrams, schematics, and facility layouts. Perform basic plumbing tasks and maintain facility water, gas, waste, air, oil, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Inspect, repair, and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses. Troubleshoot and maintain molding machines, grinders, augers, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and related support equipment. Perform setup and changeovers on molding equipment and complete mold, neck tooling, pin, and equipment changes as required. Execute preventive maintenance tasks and assist in developing and improving preventive maintenance programs. Communicate repair status, machine needs, and updates to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager. Respond promptly to emergency situations to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the facility. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while meeting or exceeding safety, quality, and production standards. Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as assigned. Support special projects and additional responsibilities as needed. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training or an Associate’s degree. 5–10 years of industrial maintenance experience Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and logic schematics. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment and respond to emergencies as needed.
