Electronics Technician 1

to join our

Security and Electronic Systems (SES)

business unit. As part of the

(SES)

Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities

Executes various technical tasks and responsibilities within field operations. Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies. Conducts site surveys, configures hardware and software, tests systems for proper operation, and provides technical support to customers. Utilizes and enforces the project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW) and M.C. Dean policies. Analyzes and interprets project drawing packages to assess constructability, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Tracks and inventories tools; conducts tool inspections and end-of-day tool inventory for assigned tools and equipment. Maintains cleanup for scope of work and performs regular tool inspections to ensure safety and functionality. Participates in daily safety briefings and project meetings, ensuring safety requirements are followed. Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and mounting hardware; ensures proper grounding and NEC compliance. Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment; racks and stacks head end equipment and completes cable terminations. Communicates consistently with project teams, and collaborates with internal and external customers in a positive manner. Plans and prioritizes tasks, upholding M.C. Dean vision, mission, and values. Maintains M.C. Dean quality standards for all installation and testing tasks. Mentors and trains junior team members in installation techniques, codes, standards, and industry best practices. Documents daily work tasks using Infralink and other tools to track progress on job sites. Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type:

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and may need U.S. Citizenship for access to classified information. ACTIVE SECRET Clearance, with the ability to obtain TOP SECRET Clearance is REQUIRED. Education:

HS diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) is required. Required Progressive Experience:

2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and customer programs. Valid driver’s license; ability to satisfy driving record requirements. Strong oral, written and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications:

Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems; graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program; additional three years of electronics installation/maintenance; strong MS Office skills; demonstrated time management and teamwork abilities.
