Overview

Perform scheduled/unscheduled O-Level maintenance on specific applicable squadron T/M/S aircraft airframe, ordnance, power plants, corrosion control and painting, and related systems. Provide flight line essential services as directed by the daily Flight Schedule. The Aircraft Mechanic II maintains/repairs aircraft engine systems, structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components, flight controls, power plants and related systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition to operation. Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints, maintenance manuals and directives for T/M/S applicability. Responsibilities

Maintain/repair engine systems, power plants, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and related aircraft components. Inspect and troubleshoot airframe and power plant systems; interpret CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) and T/M/S maintenance manuals. Lead teams through more complex aircraft-related tasks when required and provide technical guidance to Level I personnel. Record maintenance actions in aircraft logs/records as needed. Prioritize workload to maintain schedules and meet maintenance standards on assigned projects. Perform routine lifting and team lifts for ordnance loading in accordance with standard USN procedures. May require Plane Captain certification IAW Government processes for applicable T/M/S. Minimum Education And Experience Required

Shall have minimum of five years USN/USMC/USCG O-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) aircraft maintenance support experience. Shall have not less than three years T/M aircraft maintenance experience for the T/M/S aircraft hired to maintain. Shall have two years of T/M/S Organizational Maintenance experience within the last seven years. Experience as CDI, CDQAR, Engine Turn Qual, APU Turn Qualification is required. High school graduate or equivalent. Specialized training courses are desirable. Shall have completed their appropriate T/M/S Navy Skill Specialty Class "C" school. Thorough knowledge of the specific T/M/S aircraft hired to maintain for mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts. Broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair. Basic knowledge of electrical theory. Thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, T/M/S specific IMRL equipment, sheet metal brakes and sheers. Working knowledge of technical publications, CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) and NALCOMIS aircraft maintenance applications. Shall have a valid driver's license. Compensation & Benefits HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $55.04 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
